Learn Conversational Hebrew
Our popular on-going classes in Ulpan Conversational Hebrew, offered at Beginners and
Advanced levels, are taught by a very experienced Israeli Hebrew instructor.
What is the Ulpan method?
It is an intensive Israeli method for teaching and improving Hebrew language skills. Bring a friend. Choose from two levels of classes. Each class totals 12 sessions and runs twice a week for 6 weeks.

Rallies and vigils
BZD’s strength lies in its ability to mobilize the community. In recent times, we co-sponsored a rally of 1,000+ people, coordinated a bus caravan with hundreds to Washington protests, attracted 2,000 people to the Bomb Shelter Museum, and held prayer vigils attended by hundreds.

As situations arise, BZD’s new website allows us to mobilize our members, donors, and the general public to sign on-line petitions supporting and/or defending Israel.

Yom Ha-zikaron
Yom Ha-zikaron is Israel’s official Memorial Day- "Day of Remembrance for the Fallen Soldiers of Israel and Victims of Terrorism". Attend this year’s BZD program for the Baltimore Jewish community on Tuesday evening, April 21st.
Yom Ha-atzmaut
Israel’s Independence Day ( 5th of Iyyar, May 14, 1948) is a joyous holiday for Jews the world over. BZD co-sponsors terrific family events. Join us!
